Kira-Kira....glittering silver gemstone earrings

I recently read the book Kira-Kira by Cynthia Kadohata. Kira-Kira means "glittering" in Japanese. This middle grade fiction book is about the persistence of love and hope. I was inspired to create a collection of glittering gemstone earrings...here is the Kira-Kira collection.
peridot wire wrapped gemstone earrings
Peridot chips have been wire wrapped on sterling silver ovals with a "grape like cluster" on the top of the design. The cluster hides the loop portion of the handcrafted french wire. The "peridot oval wrap" is ~ 1 3/8 inches long with the earrings have a full drop just over 2 inches.

tourmaline wire wrapped gemstone earringsTourmaline in all its mluticolored glory has been wire wrapped on sterling silver ovals and attached to handcrafted french wires with a jump ring. The gemstone wrapped oval is ~ 1 inch and the earrings hang ~ 2 1/8 inches.

amethyst and white freshwater pearl earringsAmethyst with a single white freshwater pearl have been wire wrapped to create these dreamy earrings that hang from sterling chain. The gemstone oval is ~ 1 inch with the earrings hanging ~ 2 1/4 inches.
The Kira -Kira collection* has glittering gemstones like peridot, amethyst and tourmaline...wire wrapped on sterling silver ovals and hung from either chain or a small hoop on handcrafted sterling french wires.

*The Kira-Kira collection will be introduced to the jewelry boutique by the end of October.

**Any of these designs can be made into a pendant. Contact the Designing-Diva to create a Kira-Kira pendant.
